Student-Facing
Assessment Documents

Following the principles of Project-Based Learning, the performance task or summative assessment is not assigned at the end of a unit; rather, it is worked on iteratively throughout.

This document from a literature unit on ethnography describes the narrative assessment as well as all stages of the unit and their contribution to the project. Given to students at the beginning of the unit, this document serves as a reference sheet to keep students grounded in the project as they learn interviewing and narrative writing skills and develop their projects collectively and individually. The rubric at the end is used by students for self- and peer-reviews of work and by the teacher for feedback throughout the unit.
