The Project
The Project
I was brought on as a curriculum writer to expand the client's professional development offerings. The media-based company sought thoughtful guides to accompany a mini video series on implicit bias and a podcast interviewing the leader of a dignity-centered organization. Aimed at a variety of contexts, this guide needed to provide both independent and group activities that helped adult stakeholders come together to positively impact curriculum and education policy.
The Process
The Process
Reviewed the client's existing adult learning materials and met with the chief education officer to better understand the client's goals and approach.
Internalized the media content and conducted research to build context about the interviewee's company and mission as well as prominent theories and practices in the field of conflict resolution.
Wrote guided listening questions and developed research-backed activities to help learners connect to the material and turn praxis into practice with actionable steps for applying the learning in a variety of educational roles and contexts.
Curated a list of texts and resources to serve as recommendations for groups and individuals interesting in digging further into the topics after completing the reflections and activities.

Listening Guide
The detailed listening guide provides prompts for before, during, and after listening to the accompanying podcast. Questions, key moments, and journaling exercises lead participants in personal reflection. Additional prompts, activities, and discussion protocols help participants grow their thinking in group contexts. The guide culminates in thoughtful activities that start participants on a course of action to extend dignity and include diverse perspectives.
